What is Inclusive Peer Pressure?

This Week: What is Inclusive Peer Pressure Peer pressure isn’t just a thing for kids. We’re peer pressured to wear certain clothes or buy certain phones. We’re also peer pressured to exclude certain people. This week, the apostle Paul tells us about an awkward party he had with Peter – and how Paul dealt with the peer pressure.

Series: How to Love Your Neighbor in a Divided World Is it possible to be a loving person in our polarized cutthroat world? Every action, every word, and every social post is pulled into a brutal war of us versus them. It’s not simply politics that cause fights today; it’s our entertainment, our education, our workplaces, our churches, our family gatherings – basically everywhere.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Jesus told his followers that it wasn’t enough to love those who are easy to love. He calls us to love our enemies – and that doesn’t come naturally. The Divine Embrace

We’re often afraid to try and restore broken relationships with our coworkers, neighbors, friends, and family. When we avoid our broken relationships, we also avoid glimpses at the divine embrace, where God brings healing and hope. This week, we read about the moment Esau and Jacob meet each other 20 years after their relationship was broken by deception. Join us as we listen for how God calls us to the transformative work of reconciliation.
