Jesus was raised, what’s left to say? Sometimes we visualize Jesus’ resurrection as the victory celebration and that all the work was finished. In some ways that’s true, but it’s not the whole story. God’s restoration work continues. There is much that is unfinished that needs healing. Jesus is leading the greatest comeback of all time, a return to our divine purpose, rest, and life.
In our series, “The Greatest Comeback,” we examine Easter as a season of restoration. Jesus was restored to life and vindicated against his accusers. In Easter’s resurrection, we are restored too. The hopeless are restored to purpose. The scattered are restored to a community. The injured are restored to health. Life wasn’t easy in 2020. After a year of global trauma, you are not alone in seeking a new moment of peace, hope, and joy. Join us in the season of Easter as we read from the stories of Jesus’ followers who are restored and given purpose for the journey ahead. May we all find the courage to spread the good news to those around us.
