Women's League

 

Every woman at First Baptist Church is automatically a member of the Women’s League, which is comprised of two circles.  Each circle meets monthly to work on the various mission projects of the Women’s League.  These projects include providing toiletry bags to the children of Youth Haven Ranch, bandages for use in the Congo, baby and health kits for Church World Services Disaster Relief, and hats and mittens to children in our local community. 

Each year the Women’s League supports a woman majoring in Christian studies to whom monetary assistance and gifts for personal use are provided.  Such support is also provided to missionary families stationed abroad. 

Two rummage sales are held each year to finance the mission projects as well as those of the American Baptist Women’s Ministries of the State of Michigan. 

Two or three times a year, the Circles come together for a luncheon that is followed by an entertaining and informative program.
