Pastor April Barett

New Pastor! 

First Baptist is pleased to welcome Pastor April Barrett as our new minister! She is an ordained minister in who has served as a missionary to Japan and Costa Rica, as well as serving as Associate Pastor for a Spanish-speaking congregation in JacksonShe is currently the Teaching Director for the Jackson Community Bible Study, and has been a speaker at churches, retreats and conferences on topics such as "Thriving... Not Just Surviving," "The Dark Roots Problem," (uprooting bitterness and resentment), and "Spiritual Housecleaning," among others. She is married to husband, Patrick, and they have two daughters. 

First Baptist hosted an installation service for Pastor April on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015.

First Baptist Church is a family-oriented congregation with a strong, stable history of serving God by serving others. Church Leaders

The Spiritual Life Team is responsible for the spiritual welfare of the church including the worship service, the music program, and the missions program.

The Administrative Team is responsible for all funds of the church and all property of the church.

The Christian Education Team is responsible for the Christian Education.

In addition, there are five committees: Hospitality, Staff Relations, Nominating, Stewardship, and Endowment.
