Welcome to First Baptist Church
What is it that you most want out of life? For most of
us, when life pushes us up against a wall, we want to be known
and accepted by a loving family. We need to belong somewhere
and to be part of a life-giving community. First Baptist is
just such a faith community in which everyone is welcome and can
explore faith in Jesus Christ. God says to us, through the
Prophet Isaiah, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have
called you by name, you are mine.”
(Isaiah 43:1) At First
Baptist one can find nurture for the soul and a place of
belonging with God and others.
What is it that you most want for your loved ones? Many of us search for a strong spiritual anchor, and a moral compass for our children. The theme for ministry this year at First Baptist is “Faith-full Families.” In all ministry programs and mission outreach the congregation strives to bring Christ to families in the Jackson community and around the world. First Baptist, as part of the Body of Christ, endeavors to live as a family of faith that is both faith-full and faithful to God’s call. This is a church where families are strengthened through worship, prayer, serving together, learning about Christ, and supporting one another with love. Come to First Baptist!
